Embraer announces interior upgrades to both the Phenom 100 and 300 at EBACE this week:
Phenom 100
Embraer is offering two new interior options on the Phenom 100 designed to increase the flexibility of the aircraft and the number of passengers. The interior options include a fifth seat which would replace the wardrobe in the forward cabin. In addition, Embraer has certified a belted lavatory. Both options are now available and flying in customer aircraft. The new seating options have the potential to bring the Phenom 100 total occupancy to eight. In addition, Embraer is in the process of certifying an increase in Maximum Zero Fuel Weight (MZFW) for those requiring higher payload capacity. The Company expects to offer this as an option later this year. “These changes provide greater flexibility for operators,” said Luciano Castro, Embraer Vice President, Programs – Executive Jets. “It also illustrates that we are listening to our customers and continuing to invest in the competitiveness of the Phenom family.” The entry-level Phenom 100 has seven different interior collections designed in partnership with BMW Group DesignworksUSA. With four occupants, its range of 1,178 nautical miles (2,182 km), including NBAA IFR fuel reserves, means the aircraft is capable of flying nonstop from New York to Miami, in the U.S.; from London to Rome, in Europe; or from Brisbane to Melbourne, in Australia. The aircraft was certified in December 2008, and has proved to be the fastest and to have the largest baggage capacity and roomiest cabin in its category.
Phenom 300
With the certification of a two-place divan by Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), Embraer is now offering an additional seating configuration for the Phenom 300 that brings total capacity for the light aircraft up to 11 occupants. Certification by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) are expected to follow shortly. “This new option is in response to customer requests,” said Luciano Castro, Vice President Programs. “With the two-place divan, customers have even greater flexibility when designing the interior of their Phenom 300s.” The divan, certified for two occupants during takeoff and landing, will be offered as one of the many options customers may choose on the Phenom 300. A seventh cabin seat and a belted lavatory are other options already in service. The Phenom 300 light jet accommodates up to 11 occupants in a spacious interior designed in partnership with BMW Group DesignworksUSA. The Phenom 300 is one of the fastest aircraft in the light jet category, reaching 521 mph (839 km/h, or 453 knots – KTAS). Its range of 1,971 nautical miles (3,650 km), including NBAA IFR fuel reserves, means the aircraft is capable of flying nonstop from New York to Dallas, in the U.S.; from London to Athens, in Europe; or from Delhi (India) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
